Sky’s Quote

Sky Li, the founder of 99P Recycling Ltd, gave an impressive speech at the 10 year anniversary ceremony about the history and the future of the company.

99P Recycling was established in 2007. I am the founder and I started on my own. It was really difficult time for me when I started. I had no contact, no experience and no relationship with both suppliers and customers. However, I didn’t give up. I thought the only way for me was keep keep trying to show people I am honest, trustworthy and serious to do business with them.

In 2008 when financial crisis, the market situation changed. There was a big opportunity and challenge for me. I owned a lot of invoices to my suppliers and we have not got money to pay but I didn’t run away. I borrowed money to pay all the invoices even some materials made us a huge loss. However since that, I got a lot new businesses from new suppliers and built up very strong relationship with existing clients.

After financial crisis, the company started to grow rapidly. We have been participating to RWM exhibition since 2011 with a stand for 5 years. And we started to be known by more and more people in this industry.

Apart from our sales office in Tianjin city, China, well my younger brother and Mike who are in charge of our sales team there, they are here today, we bought Cromwell Recycling in 2012 and rebranded it into Leopard Recycling. The site manager Mark is also here today. Cromwell Recycling was our supplier. We set up a sister company in Vancouver, Canada in 2014. And set up a sister company in Hong Kong in the same year.

99P Recycling is looking forward to continue long-term cooperation and seek good opportunity to expand our business.

Now we are the leading company in the plastic recycling industry. Our suppliers are mainly based in UK, America, Canada and a bit in the Europe. Our sales networks is in South East Asia, China, South Korea and a bit in UK and Europe. Environment Agency came to audit us and said we were one of the top 10 plastics exporter in the UK. Without our customers’ trust and support, we cannot obtain today’s achievements. We are looking forward to continue long-term cooperation and seek good opportunity to expand our business.

We have a great team and they have been working so hard for today’s company’s achievement. Our IT team has developed an internal information system which links up our purchase team and sales team on the same board. The platform has given the company a great support for our established CNF business model.

In 2018, three of our customers would like to be joint venture with us to set up a pelletizing factory in one of the South East Asia countries. We are also going to invest money to use intelligent data technology to provide better services and better resources for everyone.
